HCTV has been around for five entire years. That's a ruddy long time!
"How come this blog only dates back to 2011?!" - now that's easy! HCTV's been on the face of the planet for five years and since it first rocketed into existence in 2007 as a mere video blog, it's changed an awful lot. It started on Youtube, gradually building more and more of an audience and, as this happened, it became clear that the channel needed to offer more than just Roo's boring old face - so sketches started happening and movie reviews and pretty much anything that meant it was all a lot more exciting for everyone! As a result, Youtube decided HCTV's content was too cunting 'edgy' for its innocent little eyes and everything was wiped. Roo swore never to return. But, HCTV lived on, on it's own flashy website for a few years - splendid - until it needed to reach a bigger audience once again. So, Roo swallowed his pride and signed back up to Youtube. Then it became a blog about movie and TV stuff and the rest is fucking history.

Now's your quite exclusive chance to sneak a peek at how the website's looked over the years. Wowza, how thing's have changed since HCTV first started on Youtube back in 2007...
And, here, HCTV delves into the world of domain names and self-promotion for the first time as 'hellocaketv.com' officially becomes a thing (clearly it was at some point round Halloween)!
Before you could even say 'dildo' the site really started looking the part, with a slicker style that included fancy banners and a wealth of content, new and old...
After a short break where nothing very new was uploaded for quite some time, HCTV had a miniature re-launch, bringing everything back to basics. It was all about the videos again - and there were a whole bunch of new ones to enjoy!
And now, the present day, where all of HCTV's new videos can be found right here (or over on the right hand side)...
The videos have gone pretty much full circle, but now we're here - on the HCTV blog, where you come to catch an obscure look at the world of film and telly. This is where it's at. Tell your friends. And the best way to do that is via our Facebook page or on Twitter, silly!
