Podcast 2.1 - Skyfall, piles & chocolate

 Comments
It's back! How have you coped so long since the last of HCTV's podcasts? Join Roo & Will as they power up the the microphone for a brand new run in a brand new year filled with brand new films and TV shows! But in the time that has passed since some terrible Elvis impressions, the epic Skyfall has been and gone - the biggest Bond film ever - so what's the verdict?! You've read the review already, but you haven't heard Adele's theme tune get compared to Chris Cornell's while a big box of Christmassy chocolates are scoffed! It is of course important to realise that there are, obviously, spoilers in this Podcast. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing 007's most recent adventure it's best to save this until later!

If you're wondering whether or not Roo's managed to sit Will down to watch Prometheus yet, the answer is yes! Find out what he thought by clicking play below, or by syncing via the iTunes!

Review: M's the Bond girl in 'Skyfall'

 Comments

James Bond is back, showing The Bourne Legacy how a motorbike chase should be done and, arguably, better than ever. Skyfall is definitely a Bondgasm - it's 'classic Bond meets new Bond' and misery guts Daniel Craig seems to have a lot more fun as 007 in his third outing than in any of his others. With M by his side, he embarks on a surprisingly personal and visually jizz-worthy adventure set mostly right here in the UK. Get set for shots of Big Ben, tube crashes and an awful lot of the word 'bloody'.

Hold your breath & count to ten...

Here it is - the new Bond theme from Adele doing her best 'Shirley Bassey' to the sound of sexy trumpety music! It's very Bond - a return to form.

Epic and classy seems to be the overall verdict. There are however folks out there who disagree, having stated that the track sent them to sleep - but who bets they had some fucking exciting dreams as a result!?

New 007 trailer is 33 seconds of Bond-gasms

 Comments

Bond proves he's back with a bang in this new US teaser trailer which debuted on NBC during the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony. Another reason to love us Brits! It's quite clear that come November they'll get to see Daniel Craig doing all sorts of your typical Bondy shizzle, such as having sexy flings with beautiful women, shooting big guns, falling from great heights, going to fancy parties and straightening his jacket after having very nearly been killed.

Beautiful, epic & funny. The London 2012 Olympic games got off to a flying start last night (that featured no huge technical faults!) with a brilliantly British opening ceremony.

It was fairly dull to begin with, however. We saw a bunch of people standing about in fields for a while which eventually lead us on to a massive set change too, because there's nothing more majestic than watching a large woman lug a shed off into the distance. But, once that was all out of the way, things really began to hot up!
