This time the all-important questions asked are; is Les Miserables a bit too long? What on Earth does a Scottish pirate sound like? And, what exactly is the point of The Lord Of The Rings? Podcast 2.3 - Glastonbury & Instagram

 Comments
Roo & Will sit down for another chinwag and this time it's all about the perils of attending a live gig - in the mud! Is Glastonbury worth the money? Would you cook yourself to see Prince? Why is there no such thing as 'Farscape On Ice'? Afterwards, Will googles 'JLS' but finds a stack of handguns and Roo asks what would happen if Instagram stole your pictures and whether or not it's worth spending any time on Twitter! Could you cope without any form of social media for up to a month?

You can find every other HCTV podcast over on our Podomatic page or on iTunes, which of course means you can sync us with your iPhone and never again miss another new episode! Spread the word and be sure to tell your friends via Facebook and Twitter how much fun you have listening to Roo and Will babble about various unimportant topics on your way into work, or on your break, or on the lav, or in a tent at Glastonbury, or...

Creative Opinions: Physical Vs Digital

 Comments

HMV and Blockbuster both collapsed in on themselves about a week ago leaving both music and movie-lovers feeling slightly lost. Where will they peruse the latest releases or pay a mere £3 for a DVD? Where will they find a deal as fab as the infamous '2 for £10' or such a relentlessly massive collection of headphones? Happy memories playing video games with complete strangers may fade and future generations could be at risk of never knowing what a 'CD' is... but does it really matter? Has the digital age finally taken over, wiping out all things physical in the process? Are Waterstones, and books in general, next to drop dead? Or will people rediscover the value in something you can wrap your arms around and hold dear to your heart, triggering a resurgence of independant stores? HCTV asked eight media-savvy individuals to exchange their opinions...

Podcast 2.2 - Tom Daley, Abraham Lincoln & Keith Chegwin

 Comments
Another new podcast here from your favourite internet crushes, Roo & Will! To begin, Roo introduces you to a brand new game! It's quite simple really - guess which famous TV/movie theme he's humming. Although it's filled with fun, Will comes to the conclusion that it's all easier said than done. Afterwards, it's time for some Saturday night television! Did you ever watch Cilla Black's Moment of Truth? Did Chris Tarrant ever show you some boobs late at night? And who the fuck is Keith Chegwin?

Be sure to send HCTV a tweet or drop us a line on our Facebook page if you correctly guess any of Roo's mystery theme tunes, or if you have a favourite Saturday night TV show we forgot to mention. Spread the word and tell your friends that we're available on iTunes to sync with your iPhone and forever cheer up those long commutes! A great big thank you to everyone who listened to the previous episode - so far that's 600 people! Check out the whole collection on Podomatic!

Podcast 2.1 - Skyfall, piles & chocolate

 Comments
It's back! How have you coped so long since the last of HCTV's podcasts? Join Roo & Will as they power up the the microphone for a brand new run in a brand new year filled with brand new films and TV shows! But in the time that has passed since some terrible Elvis impressions, the epic Skyfall has been and gone - the biggest Bond film ever - so what's the verdict?! You've read the review already, but you haven't heard Adele's theme tune get compared to Chris Cornell's while a big box of Christmassy chocolates are scoffed! It is of course important to realise that there are, obviously, spoilers in this Podcast. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing 007's most recent adventure it's best to save this until later!

If you're wondering whether or not Roo's managed to sit Will down to watch Prometheus yet, the answer is yes! Find out what he thought by clicking play below, or by syncing via the iTunes!

Podcast #11 - Thank you very much

 Comments
Kate Middleton's blurry boobs, Adele's Skyfall, pine furniture, hospital radio, Prince (and a cat with one too many ribs), Darius, Sideshow Bob and most importantly - Elvis. It's all here, in the awesome 11th HCTV podcast!

There are some extra special treats in this podcast too! You'll get to hear an advert from many years ago when Roo was doing some work experience at his local radio station (Maidstone's CTR) as well as a ton of hilarious (yet awful) impressions of various celebrities. Roo & Will settle an old score, too, as they come to terms with how a certain cartoon villain is mumbling.

Sharing the HCTV podcasts with your chums and if you want us to talk about something specific make sure you leave a comment here or twat us!

Shouldn't have gone to Specsavers

 Comments
The following video will have you learning why movie-goers need to ensure they get the correct prescription for their glasses! We've got to wear two pairs and feel like we're in the science labs at school whenever we see a 3D movie - so we may as well do it right! Specsavers is not the place to go if you're after things that are done right, here's why...

HCTV is 5

 Comments
HCTV has been around for five entire years. That's a ruddy long time!

"How come this blog only dates back to 2011?!" - now that's easy! HCTV's been on the face of the planet for five years and since it first rocketed into existence in 2007 as a mere video blog, it's changed an awful lot. It started on Youtube, gradually building more and more of an audience and, as this happened, it became clear that the channel needed to offer more than just Roo's boring old face - so sketches started happening and movie reviews and pretty much anything that meant it was all a lot more exciting for everyone! As a result, Youtube decided HCTV's content was too cunting 'edgy' for its innocent little eyes and everything was wiped. Roo swore never to return. But, HCTV lived on, on it's own flashy website for a few years - splendid - until it needed to reach a bigger audience once again. So, Roo swallowed his pride and signed back up to Youtube. Then it became a blog about movie and TV stuff and the rest is fucking history.

Podcast #3 - Advertising

 Comments

How would you advertise HCTV? That's one of the many advertising-related topics discussed in HCTV's 3rd exciting podcast, complete with new theme tune! Is advertising, in general, too politically correct? Do you feel special when you buy a snack from KFC? Which is the most irritating cheese-related rhyming advert? Find the answers below! Click play or go to HCTV's Podomatic page to subscribe with iTunes!

Podcast #2 - Bad sci-fi

 Comments
For those of you who were big fans of HCTV's first podcast, gleefully listening to it on your way to work, or on the lavatory, brace yourselves - here's another one! This time we're delving deeper, asking what it is that makes us human and what our purpose might be, here on Earth... Well, almost!

Roo & Will take to the microphone a second time to discuss why some sci-fi turns out so bad and which genres of film and telly are the most believable. Mull over a shoddy third installment of Men In Black, a consistantly disastrous Doctor Who, an undeniably pretty-looking Prometheus & the ultimate in whacky space operas - frelling Farscape! Keep up to date with HCTV's podcasts by going here (or by following the link over on the right), and then clicking 'Subscribe with iTunes' on our Podomatic sidebar.

Podcast #1 - Children's TV

 Comments
As you may or may not be aware, making video blogs is quite a long and complicated process these days. So, due to the fact HCTV isn't anywhere near as video-heavy as it used to be, it has been decided that Podcasts are now our new 'in thing'. Let them be yours too!

And now for the introduction: It's a brand new feature for HCTV starring your favourite two 'old skool' video bloggers, Roo & Will! Take a seat and brace yourself for our very first podcast and a fun little chat about good old fashioned children's TV. From Mark Speight's untimely demise to The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Lab, completely unscripted and hopefully quite funny, we're off to a flying start! You can click play below, or go here (there's also a link in the side bar) to keep fully up to date, episode after episode.

7 cool-like tips on how to make amazing Youtube Vlogs

 Comments

If you've recently watched charlieissocoollike's two-part video, 'My YouTube Rules', you should know exactly how to go about creating a fairly decent video blog, apparently. However, CheekTV has already addressed that some of the things ol' Charlie bangs on about in his video seem a tad 'off', shall we say. So, here's HCTV's niftier set of tips (well, rules, really) for making the best Youtube Vlog that a person can.
