Are you a humungous fan of The Lord Of The Rings? Your pants are most likely already damp at the sight of Bilbo's name, but wait for this next sentence! He's at the centre of a brand new movie (based on a really old book) called 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey', telling the story of whacky adventures he's had with Gandalf, Golum and a bunch of dwarves. And, there's a new trailer - you can catch it by clicking 'read more'!
For those of us who are familiar only with the movie trilogy that follows The Hobbit, and dark riders and death and the eye or Sauron and yet more death, it comes as quite a shock to learn that The Hobbit is very much a children's story. This new trailer may seem a little 'CBBC' in places, but more often than not, it shows off some splendid special effects and a vibe that pretty much guarantee's a jaw-dropping adventure worthy of a trip to the cinema.
It'll be interesting to see how the story from one book that's the same size as a third of The Lord Of The Rings will be stretched across another two films after this one... Nonetheless, the 'unexpected journey' begins on 14th December this year. The next installment, 'The Desolation of Smaug' will be with us by 13th December 2013, and 'There and Back Again' will finish everything off in July 2014. When's Avatar 5 out?
