Pat Butcher is now dead and finally free of the never-ending whirlwind of misery that was her 'life' in Walford. Many fans are labelling her departure 'the end of an earring'... Which doesn't sound as nice out loud as it does in your brain.
It was sudden and incredibly sad. Which in comparison to the past few cheery weeks, left the majority of viewers feeling a touch deflated. Shockingly, a whole heap of characters had a fairly reasonable Christmas this year; aside from Denise who found out Phil killed her ex-husband, Tamwar who got burned alive, Zainab who almost got shipped off to Karachi and Masood who very nearly got blown up... Oh, and Yusef of course, who actually did get blown up, leaving his daughter behind, parentless and alone (because it was her husband who got burned alive, you see)... Other than that it was jingle all the way! Let's see your happy faces!!
